Product Overview
Clone AAD-3 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes cyclin-dependent kinase 1 (gene CDK1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 34.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 34 kDa.
CDK1 (CDC2) is the cyclin-dependent kinase that drives cells into mitosis. Bound mainly to cyclin B, it phosphorylates many substrates that trigger nuclear envelope breakdown, chromosome condensation and spindle assembly, and it also helps regulate centrosome duplication, making it a central marker and target in cell cycle and cancer research.

|---|---|
| Immunoprecipitation | 1:50 |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human CDK1.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places cyclin-dependent kinase 1 in the nucleus, cytoplasm and mitochondrion. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Found in breast cancer tissues. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
