Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes cell adhesion molecule CEACAM1 in human samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 57.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 120–150 kDa.
CEACAM1 (CD66a) is an immunoglobulin-superfamily adhesion molecule of the carcinoembryonic antigen family, found on epithelial, endothelial and immune cells. Besides mediating cell-cell adhesion, it acts as an inhibitory receptor in T cells and other immune cells and influences insulin clearance and angiogenesis, making it a subject of immunology and cancer research.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human MCF-7 cells, human A549 cells, human HeLa cells, human HepG22 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant human CEACAM1 fragment (Asn309–Gln526), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in columnar epithelial cells of the colon (at protein level). The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
