Product Overview
Clone 19C63 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes cell adhesion molecule CEACAM1 in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 57.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 120–150 kDa.
CEACAM1 (CD66a) is an immunoglobulin-superfamily adhesion molecule of the carcinoembryonic antigen family, found on epithelial, endothelial and immune cells. Besides mediating cell-cell adhesion, it acts as an inhibitory receptor in T cells and other immune cells and influences insulin clearance and angiogenesis, making it a subject of immunology and cancer research.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HepG2 cells, human HUH-7 cells, human RT4 cells, human Caco-2 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:1000 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:500, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human colorectal adenocarcinoma tissue, human liver cancer tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human CEACAM1.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in columnar epithelial cells of the colon (at protein level). The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
