Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets centromere-associated protein E (gene Cenpe) in mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA.
CENP-E is a kinesin-7 motor protein at kinetochores that moves toward microtubule plus ends. It helps chromosomes congress to the metaphase plate, stabilizes kinetochore-microtubule attachments and supports the spindle assembly checkpoint, so it is studied in mitosis and as an anti-mitotic drug target.

The supplier lists reactivity with mouse and rat. UniProt places centromere-associated protein E in the cytoplasm and chromosome. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (mouse): Expressed in hippocampus.
