Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects centromere protein F (gene CENPF) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 357.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 358 kDa.
CENP-F (mitosin) is a large coiled-coil protein that associates with kinetochores during mitosis. It helps recruit dynein and its regulators to kinetochores and supports chromosome segregation, and outside mitosis it contributes to microtubule-dependent vesicle transport; it is also a marker of proliferating cells.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): SiHa cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HepG2 cells.

Recombinant human CENPF fragment (Gln129–Arg3078), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places centromere protein F in the cytoplasm, nucleus matrix and chromosome. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
