Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects centrosomal protein of 55 kDa (gene CEP55) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA.
CEP55 is a centrosome- and midbody-associated protein that is essential for the final step of cytokinesis. At the midbody it recruits ESCRT-associated proteins such as ALIX and TSG101 to complete cell separation, and it is studied in cell division and as a marker of proliferating cells.

Recombinant human CEP55 fragment (Glu115–Lys464), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 76.3% and 78%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places centrosomal protein of 55 kDa in the cytoplasm, cleavage furrow and midbody. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in embryonic brain.
