Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects tubulin-specific chaperone A (gene TBCA) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 12.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 18 kDa.
Tubulin-specific chaperone A (TBCA) is one of the cofactors in the post-chaperonin tubulin folding pathway. It captures newly folded β-tubulin at an early step before handing it on to other cofactors for assembly into α/β-tubulin heterodimers.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HEK293 cells, human HeLa cells, human Raji cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): THP-1 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human CFA/TBCA fragment (Met1–Ala108), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places tubulin-specific chaperone A in the cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
