Product Overview
Clone 30C23 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes complement factor D (gene CFD) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 27.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 25 kDa.
Complement factor D (CFD, adipsin) is a serine protease that starts the alternative complement pathway by cleaving factor B bound to C3b. It is produced mainly by adipocytes and circulates in plasma, and it is studied in innate immunity, complement disorders and adipose tissue biology.
