Product Overview
Clone 31C75 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes choline O-acetyltransferase (gene CHAT) in mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 82.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 72 kDa.
Choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) synthesizes the neurotransmitter acetylcholine from choline and acetyl-CoA. It is the defining marker of cholinergic neurons, including motor neurons and basal forebrain neurons, and is widely used in neuroscience research.
