Product Overview
Clone IEA-3 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes cbp/p300-interacting transactivator 2 (gene CITED2) in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 28.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 28 kDa.
CITED2 is a transcriptional co-regulator that binds the CH1 domain of p300/CBP. It helps transcription factors such as TFAP2 recruit p300/CBP, and by competing with HIF-1α for the same site it dampens hypoxia-responsive transcription; it is essential for heart, adrenal and liver development.
