Product Overview
Clone ADEB-3 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes claudin-4 (gene CLDN4) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 22.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 18 kDa.
Claudin-4 (CLDN4) is a tight junction protein that pairs with other claudins to build and remodel the strands sealing adjacent epithelial cells. Together with claudin-8 it can form anion-selective paracellular channels, including chloride pathways in the kidney, and its expression is frequently examined in studies of epithelial barriers and carcinomas.

|---|---|
| Immunohistochemistry | 1:50–1:200 |
| Immunoprecipitation | 1:20 |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): MCF-7 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human claudin 4.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places claudin-4 in the cell junction and cell membrane. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
