Product Overview
Clone 30C24 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes chloride intracellular channel protein 4 (gene CLIC4) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 28.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 29 kDa.
CLIC4 is a chloride intracellular channel protein that can switch between a soluble form with glutaredoxin-like activity and a membrane-inserted form that conducts ions. It has been linked to TGF-β signaling, endothelial tube formation and keratinocyte differentiation, and it is investigated in angiogenesis and cancer research.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human 293T cells, human U251 cells, human A431 cells, human U2OS cells, rat kidney tissue, rat brain tissue, mouse kidney tissue, mouse brain tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:500, ECL detection.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places chloride intracellular channel protein 4 in the cytoplasmic vesicle membrane, nucleus, cell membrane and mitochondrion. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Detected in epithelial cells from colon, esophagus and kidney (at protein level). The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
