Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets dual specificity protein kinase CLK2 in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 60.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 60 kDa.
CLK2 is a dual-specificity kinase of the CDC-like kinase family that phosphorylates serine/arginine-rich (SR) splicing factors. By controlling SR protein phosphorylation and localization it influences pre-mRNA splicing, and it has also been linked to metabolic regulation, so it is studied in RNA processing and kinase inhibitor research.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HEL cells, human SH-SY5Y cells, human RT4 cells, rat lung tissue, rat brain tissue, mouse lung tissue, mouse brain tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.25 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): PC-3 cells.

Recombinant human CLK2 fragment (Ala140–Asp496), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places dual specificity protein kinase CLK2 in the nucleus and SUBCELLULAR LOCATION:. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Endothelial cells. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
