Product Overview
Clone 27C56 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes putative lipid scramblase CLPTM1 in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 76.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 90 kDa.
CLPTM1 is a multi-pass membrane protein of the endoplasmic reticulum proposed to act as a lipid scramblase. In neurons it can bind GABAA receptors and retain them in the ER, reducing their surface level and inhibitory neurotransmission, so it is studied in synaptic receptor trafficking.

Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human CLPTM1.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places putative lipid scramblase CLPTM1 in the membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
