Product Overview
Clone 27C46 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes contactin-4 (gene CNTN4) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 113.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 150 kDa.
Contactin-4 (CNTN4) is a GPI-anchored neural adhesion molecule of the contactin family. It promotes neurite outgrowth and has been implicated in axon targeting and synapse formation, and it is studied in neural circuit development.

|---|---|
| Immunohistochemistry | 1:50–1:200 |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human cerebellum cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human CNTN4.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt describes contactin-4 as secreted and also located in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Mainly expressed in brain. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
