Product Overview
Clone 26C10 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes contactin-associated protein-like 2 (gene CNTNAP2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 148.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 160 kDa.
CASPR2 (CNTNAP2) is a neurexin-family transmembrane protein that, with contactin-2, clusters voltage-gated potassium channels at the juxtaparanodes of myelinated axons. It also plays roles in neuronal migration and synapse function, and it is widely studied in neurodevelopment and in genetic studies of autism spectrum disorders.

Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human CNTP2.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places contactin-associated protein-like 2 in the membrane and cell projection. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Predominantly expressed in nervous system.
