Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects collagen alpha-2(IV) chain (gene COL4A2) in human samples and is validated for IHC and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 167.6 kDa.
Collagen α2(IV) chain (COL4A2) pairs with COL4A1 to form the most widespread type IV collagen network of basement membranes. Its C-terminal fragment canstatin inhibits angiogenesis, and COL4A2 is studied in vascular integrity, basement membrane biology and cerebral hemorrhage.

Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human gastric adenocarcinoma tissue, human liver cancer tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
