Product Overview
Clone 26C74 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes collagen alpha-1(III) chain (gene COL3A1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 138.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 150 kDa-200 kDa.
Collagen α1(III) chain (COL3A1) forms type III collagen, a fibrillar collagen that occurs with type I collagen in skin, blood vessels and hollow organs. It supports tissue elasticity and strength, and COL3A1 mutations cause vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome; it is also studied in wound healing and fibrosis.
