Product Overview
Clone HGG-3 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes collagen alpha-1(VI) chain (gene COL6A1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 108.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 147 kDa.
Collagen α1(VI) chain (COL6A1) is a subunit of type VI collagen, which forms beaded microfilaments in the extracellular matrix of muscle, skin and other tissues. It binds cells and other matrix components, and COL6A1 mutations cause Bethlem myopathy and Ullrich congenital muscular dystrophy.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human PC-3 cells, rat ovary tissue, mouse ovary tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 8% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1: 1000 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): mouse kidney tissue, mouse lung tissue, mouse spleen tissue, mouse liver tissue, rat kidney tissue, rat lung tissue, rat spleen tissue, rat liver tissue, human placenta tissue, human lung cancer tissue, human lymphoma tissue, human ovarian cancer tissue, human breast cancer tissue, human esophageal cancer tissue, human liver cancer tissue, human colon cancer tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
