Product Overview
Clone 18R91 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes REST corepressor 1 (gene RCOR1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 53.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 65 kDa.
CoREST (RCOR1) is a corepressor that partners with the transcription factor REST to silence neuronal genes in non-neuronal cells. It acts as a scaffold that brings together the histone demethylase LSD1 (KDM1A) and histone deacetylases, enhancing and stabilizing LSD1 activity, and it also supports blood cell development through GFI1-containing complexes.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human MOLT-4 cells, human REH cells, human HEL cells, human THP-1 cells, human SIHA cells, human K562 cells, rat PC-12 cells, mouse Neuro-2a cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:1000 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
