Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects cyclic AMP-responsive element-binding protein 1 (gene CREB1) in human, monkey, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA.
CREB (CREB1) is a transcription factor that binds cAMP response elements (CRE) in gene promoters. Phosphorylation at Ser133 by PKA and other kinases recruits the coactivators CBP and p300 to switch on target genes, and CREB is widely studied in neuronal plasticity, memory, metabolism and cell survival.
