Product Overview

Clone 30C76 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes cold shock domain-containing protein E1 (gene CSDE1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 88.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 89 kDa.

CSDE1 (also called UNR) is a cytoplasmic RNA-binding protein with several cold shock domains. It helps couple translation with mRNA decay, for example of FOS mRNA, and is needed for efficient stress granule assembly. It also supports internal ribosome entry on some viral RNAs, such as human rhinovirus, so it is studied in post-transcriptional gene control and virology.

Validated Applications

Western blot 1:500–1:2000
Immunoprecipitation 1:50

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): K562 cells, PC-12 cells.

Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.

Immunogen

Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human CSDE1.

Reactivity Notes

The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places cold shock domain-containing protein E1 in the cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.

Safety

Handling: the formulation contains sodium azide as a preservative. Wear gloves, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and dispose of waste according to local regulations. For research use only; not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
