Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets macrophage colony-stimulating factor 1 (gene CSF1) in human and mouse samples and is validated for ELISA and Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 60.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 60 kDa.
M-CSF (CSF1) is a cytokine that supports the survival, proliferation and differentiation of monocytes, macrophages and their precursors by signaling through the CSF1R receptor. It is also needed for osteoclast formation and bone resorption, and influences inflammation, fertility and cell migration, so it is measured in studies of macrophage biology, bone remodeling and inflammatory disease.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human placenta tissue, human 293T cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:10000, ECL detection.

Recombinant human CSF1 fragment (Glu33–Asn190), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and mouse. UniProt places macrophage colony-stimulating factor 1 in the cell membrane. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
