Product Overview
Clone 28C83 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes COP9 signalosome complex subunit 8 (gene COPS8) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 23.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 20 kDa.
COPS8 (CSN8) is the smallest subunit of the COP9 signalosome, the complex that deneddylates cullins and thereby regulates cullin-RING ubiquitin ligases. It contributes to complex assembly and function, and COPS8 is studied in ubiquitin-dependent protein turnover and development.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human CSN8.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places COP9 signalosome complex subunit 8 in the cytoplasm and nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
