Product Overview
Clone 24C02 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes casein kinase I isoform alpha (gene CSNK1A1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 38.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 35 kDa.
Casein kinase 1 alpha (CK1α, CSNK1A1) is a serine/threonine kinase with many substrates. In the Wnt pathway it primes β-catenin by phosphorylating Ser45, marking it for further phosphorylation by GSK3B and degradation. It also influences mTOR signaling, the NLRP3 inflammasome and circadian proteins, and is studied in Wnt biology and hematologic cancers.
