Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets B-cell lymphoma/leukemia 11B (gene BCL11B) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 95.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 130 kDa.
BCL11B is a zinc finger transcription factor that is essential for T-cell commitment and development in the thymus, and it helps maintain mature T-cell identity. It is also needed for development of neurons in the cortex and striatum and for skin and tooth formation, and it is studied in T-cell leukemia and immunodeficiency.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human, Mouse, Rat) |
|---|---|
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human Jurkat cells, human MOLT-4 cells, rat brain tissue, mouse brain tissue, mouse RAW264.7 cells, mouse Ana-1 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant human Ctip2/BCL11B fragment (Lys838–Ser894), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places B-cell lymphoma/leukemia 11B in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Highly expressed in brain and in malignant T-cell lines derived from patients with adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
