Product Overview
Clone 29C09 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes CTP synthase 1 (gene CTPS1) in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 66.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 72 kDa.
CTP synthase 1 (CTPS1) makes CTP from UTP, using ATP and glutamine as the nitrogen source, in the de novo pathway that supplies nucleotides for DNA, RNA and phospholipid synthesis. Activated lymphocytes depend heavily on CTPS1 to proliferate, and its loss causes immunodeficiency, so it is studied in lymphocyte metabolism and immunity.

|---|---|
| Flow cytometry | 1:50 |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human CTP synthase / CTPS.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and mouse. UniProt places CTP synthase 1 in the cytoplasm, nucleus and chromosome. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed at low level, except in activated T-cells where it is highly expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
