Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes chymotrypsin-C (gene CTRC) in human and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC.
Chymotrypsin C (CTRC) is a pancreatic serine protease secreted as an inactive precursor. By cutting trypsinogens and procarboxypeptidases at selected sites, it controls both their activation and their breakdown, helping protect the pancreas from premature trypsin activity. Variants in CTRC are linked to chronic pancreatitis, so it is studied in pancreatic physiology and disease.
