Product Overview
Clone 18C54 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes C-X-C motif chemokine 11 (gene CXCL11) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 10.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 15 kDa.
CXCL11 (I-TAC) is an interferon-inducible chemokine that binds the receptor CXCR3, and also ACKR3, with high affinity. It attracts activated T cells, but not resting T cells, neutrophils or monocytes, and triggers calcium release in them. It is studied alongside CXCL9 and CXCL10 in Th1-type inflammation, the central nervous system and skin immunity.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 1:500–1:2000 |
|---|---|
| Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence | 1:50–1:200 |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human THP-1 cells, human SH-SY5Y cells, human U251 cells, human Caco-2 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:500, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human CXCL11.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt describes C-X-C motif chemokine 11 as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): High levels in peripheral blood leukocytes, pancreas and liver astrocytes. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
