Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets C-X-C chemokine receptor type 5 (gene CXCR5) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 42.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 50 kDa.
CXCR5 is a G protein-coupled receptor for the chemokine CXCL13. It is expressed on B cells and follicular helper T cells and directs them into B-cell follicles of lymphoid organs, where germinal centers form. CXCR5 is a standard marker of follicular helper T cells in studies of antibody responses and lymphoid organization.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human, Mouse, Rat) |
|---|---|
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg/1×106 cells (Human) |
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human Raji cells, human MOLT-4 cells, human HeLa cells, rat brain tissue, mouse brain tissue, mouse lung tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HEL cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human CXCR5 fragment (Ala181–Ser358), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places C-X-C chemokine receptor type 5 in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expression in mature B-cells and Burkitt lymphoma cells. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
