Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes G1/S-specific cyclin-D1 (gene Ccnd1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 33.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 54 kDa.
Cyclin D1 (CCND1) pairs with CDK4 or CDK6 to phosphorylate the retinoblastoma protein RB1 in G1, releasing E2F transcription factors and allowing cells to enter S phase. Its expression responds to mitogenic signals, and it is frequently amplified or overexpressed in cancers such as breast cancer and mantle cell lymphoma.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL (Human, Rat, Mouse) |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat testis tissue, rat ovary tissue, rat brain tissue, HeLa cells, MM231 cells, SW620 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the C-terminal region of mouse cyclin D1. The peptide sequence is conserved in rat. It differs from the human sequence at three residues.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places G1/S-specific cyclin-D1 in the nucleus, cytoplasm and nuclear membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (mouse): Expressed in the intestinal epithelium. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
