Product Overview
Clone GHH-3 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes G1/S-specific cyclin-E2 (gene CCNE2) in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 46.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 47 kDa.
Cyclin E2 (CCNE2) is an E-type cyclin that, like cyclin E1, binds and activates CDK2 during late G1 and early S phase. It helps commit cells to DNA replication and is studied in cell cycle control and in tumors where E-type cyclins are overexpressed.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human breast carcinoma tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): HeLa cells.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human cyclin E2.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and mouse. UniProt places G1/S-specific cyclin-E2 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): According to PubMed:9858585, highest levels of expression in adult testis, thymus and brain. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
