Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes cytochrome P450 2W1 (gene CYP2W1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC.
CYP2W1 is a cytochrome P450 enzyme with limited expression in normal adult tissues but notable expression in fetal tissue and some tumors, such as colorectal cancer. It may hydroxylate retinoic acid and act on lysophospholipids, and it can activate certain prodrugs. Its natural role is still being defined, so it is studied mainly in cancer and drug activation.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places cytochrome P450 2W1 in the endoplasmic reticulum lumen, cell membrane and microsome membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Very low levels are detected in fetal and adult tissues.
