Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects autophagy protein 5 (gene atg5) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot and ICC/IF.
ATG5 is a core autophagy protein that is covalently linked to ATG12 by the enzymes ATG7 and ATG10. The ATG12-ATG5 conjugate, bound to ATG16L1, drives LC3 lipidation and autophagosome formation, and ATG5 knockout cells and animals are standard tools for studying autophagy.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places autophagy protein 5 in the cytoplasm and preautophagosomal structure membrane.
