Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets tuberin (gene tsc2) in zebrafish samples and is validated for ICC/IF.
Tuberin (TSC2) is the GTPase-activating subunit of the TSC complex, which it forms with hamartin (TSC1). By converting RHEB to its inactive GDP-bound form, TSC2 inhibits mTORC1 when nutrients or growth signals are low, and it is controlled by kinases such as AKT and AMPK. Mutations cause tuberous sclerosis complex, making TSC2 central to mTOR research.
