Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets lipoamide acyltransferase component of branched-chain alpha-keto acid dehydrogenase complex, mitochondrial (gene DBT) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation, flow cytometry and ELISA.
DBT is the E2 (lipoamide acyltransferase) subunit of the mitochondrial branched-chain α-keto acid dehydrogenase complex. This complex breaks down the keto acids derived from leucine, isoleucine and valine, and E2 forms its structural core and transfers acyl groups to coenzyme A. Mutations in DBT cause maple syrup urine disease, so it is studied in amino acid metabolism.
