Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes DNA damage-binding protein 1 (gene DDB1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for flow cytometry, ICC/IF, IHC and Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 127.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 127 kDa.
DDB1 (DNA damage-binding protein 1) is a large adaptor with dual roles. With DDB2 it forms the UV-DDB complex that recognizes UV-induced DNA lesions and starts global genome nucleotide excision repair, and it links many substrate receptors (DCAFs) to CUL4 ubiquitin ligases. DDB1 is studied in DNA repair, protein degradation and targeted protein degradation drug research.

Immunogen
Recombinant human DDB1 fragment (Ser1011–His1140), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 99.2%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places DNA damage-binding protein 1 in the cytoplasm and nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
