Product Overview
Clone 18D64 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes probable ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX6 in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 54.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 54 kDa.
DDX6 (also called RCK or p54) is a DEAD-box RNA helicase that is essential for forming P-bodies, cytoplasmic granules where translationally silent mRNAs are stored or degraded. It links translational repression with mRNA decapping and supports microRNA-mediated silencing. DDX6 is studied in mRNA storage, decay and stress responses.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human DDX6.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places probable ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX6 in the cytoplasm and nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Abundantly expressed in most tissues. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
