Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets catenin delta-1 (gene CTNND1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 108.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 100–110 kDa.
p120-catenin (CTNND1) binds the juxtamembrane region of classical cadherins such as E- and N-cadherin and prevents their endocytosis, keeping adherens junctions stable. It also regulates Rho family GTPases and the transcription factor Kaiso, and it is a substrate of SRC and several receptor tyrosine kinases. It is studied in epithelial adhesion, cell migration and cancer.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human HEK293 cells, rat brain tissue, rat PC-12 cells, mouse brain tissue, rat RAW264.7 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.25 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human liver cancer tissue, mouse lung tissue, mouse intestines tissue, rat lung tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): A431 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HeLa cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human delta 1 Catenin/CAS/CTNND1 fragment (His64–Lys930), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places catenin delta-1 in the cell junction, cytoplasm, nucleus and cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in vascular endothelium. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
