Product Overview
Clone 26D62 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes desmocollin-3 (gene DSC3) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 100.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 100 kDa.
Desmocollin-3 (DSC3) is a desmosomal cadherin expressed in the basal layers of stratified epithelia such as the epidermis. It is needed for keratinocyte adhesion and skin barrier integrity and is studied in epidermal biology and blistering skin disorders.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human A431 cells, human Hacat cells, human PC-3 cells, human 293T cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 8% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places desmocollin-3 in the cell membrane, cell junction and cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed throughout the basal and spinous layer of the epidermis with weak expression in the granular layer (at protein level). The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
