Product Overview
Clone 22D49 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes desmoplakin (gene DSP) in human and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 331.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 250 kDa.
Desmoplakin (DSP) is the main plaque protein of desmosomes, anchoring intermediate filaments such as keratins and desmin to cell-cell junctions. It is essential in the skin and the heart, and it is studied in epithelial adhesion, early development and inherited cardiomyopathies and skin disorders.
