Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes dickkopf-related protein 1 (gene DKK1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 28.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 38 kDa.
Dickkopf-1 (DKK1) is a secreted inhibitor of canonical Wnt signaling. It binds the Wnt co-receptors LRP5/6 and, together with Kremen proteins, promotes their removal from the cell surface. DKK1 is studied in embryonic head and limb development, bone formation and cancer, where it is often used as a Wnt pathway readout.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): recombinant human DKK1 protein.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:10000, ECL detection.

Recombinant human DKK1 fragment (Thr32–His266), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt describes dickkopf-related protein 1 as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Placenta. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
