Product Overview
Clone 21D36 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes homeobox protein DLX-5 (gene DLX5) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 31.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 35 kDa.
DLX5 is a Distal-less family homeodomain transcription factor that plays a key role in bone and craniofacial development. It is rapidly induced by BMP signaling and promotes osteoblast differentiation by activating genes such as SP7/Osterix. DLX5 is also important in limb and ear development and is studied in skeletal biology.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human 293T cells, human Hacat cells, human RT4 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
