Overview
Anti-DNAJC11 Antibody Picoband® is an antibody for DNAJC11 detection raised in Rabbit (Polyclonal, Rabbit IgG), with reported reactivity: Human,Mouse,Rat. Commonly used in WB, IHC, IF, ICC, Flow Cytometry, ELISA workflows.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: DNAJC11 (interleukin 17B); UniProt: Q9NVH1
- Antibody format: Rabbit, Polyclonal, Rabbit IgG
- Molecular weight: 63 kDa
- Applications: WB, IHC, IF, ICC, Flow Cytometry, ELISA
Vendor description (summary): Boster Bio Anti-DNAJC11 Antibody Picoband® catalog # A11307-1.
Biological background
Biological context: Stimulates the release of tumor necrosis factor alpha and IL-1-beta from the monocytic cell line THP-1. .
Expression and localization notes: cellular localization: Secreted., tissue context: Expressed in adult pancreas, small intestine, stomach, spinal cord and testis. Less pronounced expression in prostate, colon mucosal lining, and ovary..
Common research applications
- Western blotting (WB): Compare DNAJC11 levels across samples and conditions using appropriate loading and biological controls.
- Immunohistochemistry (IHC): Evaluate spatial distribution of DNAJC11 in tissue sections, considering fixation and antigen retrieval effects.
- Immunofluorescence / ICC: Assess subcellular localization patterns and co-localization with compartment markers in cultured cells.
- Flow cytometry: Quantify DNAJC11-positive populations in single-cell suspensions with appropriate gating and controls.
- ELISA: Use antibody-based detection formats to assess antigen presence or binding in plate-based assays.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, post-translational modifications, and sample-specific processing that can shift apparent molecular weight or epitope accessibility.
- Use positive/negative biological controls where possible (e.g., known-expressing cells/tissues, knockdown/knockout models) and include appropriate secondary-only/isotype controls for imaging workflows.
Additional product notes (from provided fields)
- Background: DnaJ homolog subfamily C member 11 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the DNAJC11 gene. DNAJC11 is a member of the J proteins also known as HSP40 family of co-chaperones. Recently DNAJC11 has been found to interact with mitofilin, a mitochondrial inner membrane protein, indicating that it may be a molecular chaperone during mitochondrial protein import and folding.
- Cross reactivity: No cross-reactivity with other proteins.
- Cellular localization: Secreted.
- Tissue details: Expressed in adult pancreas, small intestine, stomach, spinal cord and testis. Less pronounced expression in prostate, colon mucosal lining, and ovary.
- Research category: Cytokines,Immunology,Innate Immunity,Interleukins
