Product Overview
Clone 29D24 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes dnaJ homolog subfamily C member 12 (gene DNAJC12) in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 23.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 23 kDa.
DNAJC12 is a J-domain co-chaperone that helps fold the aromatic amino acid hydroxylases phenylalanine hydroxylase, tyrosine hydroxylase and tryptophan hydroxylases. Mutations in DNAJC12 cause a form of hyperphenylalaninemia with neurotransmitter deficiency, and it is studied in amino acid metabolism and monoamine synthesis.
