Product Overview
Clone CBC-4 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes dnaJ homolog subfamily C member 15 (gene DNAJC15) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 16.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 16 kDa.
DNAJC15 (also called MCJ) is a J-domain protein of the inner mitochondrial membrane associated with the TIM23 import machinery. It acts as a negative regulator of mitochondrial respiration, restraining respiratory chain activity and ATP production. DNAJC15 is studied in mitochondrial metabolism and drug resistance in cancer.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human THP-1 cells, human MCF-7 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:500, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human colon carcinoma tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
