Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes dnaJ homolog subfamily C member 3 (gene DNAJC3) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 57.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 58 kDa.
DNAJC3 (also called P58IPK) is a J-domain co-chaperone found in the endoplasmic reticulum. It supports BiP-mediated protein folding during ER stress and can inhibit eIF2α kinases, including PKR and PERK, helping restore protein synthesis. DNAJC3 is studied in the unfolded protein response, β-cell function and diabetes research.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human, Mouse, Rat) |
|---|---|
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human U-87MG cells, human THP-1 cells, human HL-60 cells, rat pancreas tissue, rat testis tissue, mouse pancreas tissue, mouse testis tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant human DNAJC3 fragment (Val33–Glu429), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places dnaJ homolog subfamily C member 3 in the endoplasmic reticulum. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed with high level in the pancreas and testis. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
