Product Overview
Clone ABFC-20 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 10B (gene TNFRSF10B) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 47.9 kDa; the supplier reports observed bands at 40, 48 kDa.
TRAIL-R2 (TNFRSF10B, DR5) is a death receptor for the cytokine TRAIL. After ligand binding, FADD and caspase-8 assemble into a death-inducing signaling complex that activates caspases and apoptosis, and DR5 is also induced by p53 and ER stress. TRAIL-R2 is studied in apoptosis, cancer cell killing and stress-induced cell death.
