Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects dopamine receptor D5 (gene DRD5) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA.
Dopamine receptor D5 (DRD5) is a D1-class G protein-coupled receptor that stimulates adenylyl cyclase through Gs. It binds dopamine with higher affinity than DRD1 but is expressed at lower levels, mainly in the hippocampus and other limbic regions, and is studied in learning, memory and dopamine signaling.

Immunogen
Recombinant human DRD5 fragment (Met1–His477), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 82.3% and 82.4%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places dopamine receptor D5 in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Neuron-specific, localized primarily within limbic regions of the brain.
