Product Overview
Clone IHB-4 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes dual specificity protein phosphatase 1 (gene DUSP1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 39.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 45 kDa.
DUSP1 (also called MKP-1) is a dual-specificity phosphatase that removes phosphate from both threonine and tyrosine residues of MAP kinases. It is rapidly induced by stress and growth factors, provides negative feedback on MAPK signaling, and is widely studied in inflammation and stress responses.

Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human breast cancer tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human DUSP1.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places dual specificity protein phosphatase 1 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed at high levels in the lung, liver placenta and pancreas. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
